Ingredients
2tbspcanola oil
1 white oniondiced
4garlic clovespeeled and grated
1lblean ground beef
1lbsweet italian pork sausage meat
3-4tbspitalian seasoning
796mldiced tomato
796mlcrushed tomato
398mltomato sauce
2tbspbalsamic vinegar
1packageoven-ready lasagna noodles
475gmricotta cheese
1egg
salt and pepperto taste/season
200gmtex mex blend cheeseshredded
650 gmmozzarella cheeseshredded

Instructions
Heat a large pot with two tbsp canola oil on medium-high. Once hot, add onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
Add ground beef, pork sausage and italian seasoning to pot and cook until no pink remains. Season with salt and pepper
Add diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and balsamic vinegar to pot. Simmer on low for 45 minutes.
In a bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, egg and pepper.
As the tomato meat sauce simmering nears completion, preheat your oven to 375°F
Begin assembling your lasagna in a 9 x 13 casserole dish. First, spread a layer of the tomato meat sauce across the bottom.
Follow with a layer of noodles and then another layer of tomato meat sauce.
Top that with a layer of shredded tex mex cheese and then add another layer of noodles.
Add another layer of tomato meat sauce.
Layer in all your ricotta and egg mixture.
Top your ricotta egg mixture with another layer of tomato meat sauce and top with another layer of noodles.
Finally, add one more layer of tomato meat sauce and top with your mozarella cheese as your top layer.
Tent with foil and bake at 375°F for approximately 30 minutes. Remove foil and cook for another 20 minutes. To brown the top to your liking, finish under the broiler.
Grate over fresh parmesan, add some parsley, serve and enjoy!
